During that period, the people in the city followed various
traditions, art and religious practices. These kinds of activities slowly
started to attract a large number of tourists towards the ethnic city.
After achieving freedom from French dominance, the
Pondicherry Government hosted the “Fete De Pondicherry” with the main aim to
celebrate the liberation of the state from foreign dominance. This grand
festival takes place for three days after the Indian Independence Day.
Tourists from different parts of the world gather in the
destination to watch the enthusiastic music and dance performances hosted by
the Government. Added to this, there will be many exciting performances,
competitions and exhibition programs held in the city.
Fete De Pondicherry is a cultural program widely celebrated
by all the people in the town. The Park
Monument is beautifully
decorated with splendid lights and glitters. Basically, this festival is annually
celebrated on the occasion of liberation day and Independence Day of Pondicherry
and India .
You can see a huge number of visitors during this peak season
i.e 15th August to 17th August. Pondicherry is a great tourist destination that
