Tips for Runners
Ø
Eat well
the day before the run. Low fiber and carbs are a must in your food intake.
Avoid alcohol and other dehydrating liquids.
Ø
Warm up, stretch and drink a
glass of Electrolyte or isotonic drink before beginning the run.
Ø
Hydrate
properly. Make it a point to drink some water or electrolytes every 15 minutes
or so during the run. Every 3rd or 4th glass should be either Electrolyte added
drink or isotonic drink.
Ø
If you
are breathing too hard slow down during the run slow down or walk a bit until
you feel comfortable again.
Ø
If you
experience any of the following symptoms, please, stop the run, walk slowly
towards one of the aid stations and ask for medical help.
