How to Do Vegetable Spring Rolls? Check This!

One of the popular Chinese dishes in India is the Vegetable Spring Rolls. It is an exotic snack that is adored especially by kids. You can serve the dish with red chilli garlic chutney or tomato ketchup. Most of the people prefer to cook this rolls as it is healthy stuffed with lot of vegetables. Ingredients


Spring Roll Wrappers- 10

Spring Onions             - 5

Carrots                        - 2

Oil                              -  2 tbsp

Salt                             - as required 

Soy Sauce                  - 1tbsp

Bean sprouts              - ¾ cup

Cornflour                   - tbsp

Method to Prepare


  • Take a pan and pour some oil. Add some onions, spring onions, capsicum, cabbage, salt and carrot.
  • Add pepper powder, soya sauce and mix well. You can now add the bean sprouts, greens and mix.
  • Leave the vegetables to cook.
  • Take a separate bowl and make cornflour paste by adding 2 tbsp of water.
  • Spread the vegetable mix in the spring roll wrapper and apply the cornflour paste on the corners.
  • Seal the mixture well and slowly put in hot oil. Leave till it gets golden colour.
  • Your hot spicy Vegetable Spring Roll is ready to serve!

How to Make Fried And Spicy Tofu?


One of the most popular vegetarian recipes in India is Fried Tofu Delight. It is an easy recipe that anyone can prepare in their home. Fried Tofu is prepared using a mixture of spices and other breading ingredients. You can serve the recipe along with a plain yogurt or with eggplant brinjal. Let’s get into the recipe now!

Ingredients


Tofu- 1 full pack (drained and pressed)

Vegetable broth- 2 cups (sauce of all vegetables)

Flour- ½ cup

Vegetable Oil- 3 tbsp

Nutritional Yeast- 3 tbsp

Salt- 1 tbsp

Fresh Black Pepper- ½ tbsp

Cayenne Pepper- ½ tbsp

How to Prepare?

  • First, take the tofu and cut into medium pieces. Place them in a bowl and pour broth over it. Leave it for sometime to soak.
  • Take a separate bowl and add flour, yeast, salt, pepper and cayenne.
  • Now, heat a pan with medium heat.
  • Check the tofu and see whether they have been completely soaked. Take the tofu and roll in the breading mixture. Deep fry in the hot oil.
  • Ensure to fry till you get crisp and browned on all sides.
  • Hot spicy tofu is ready to serve.

Ingredients


White Bread- 5 Slices

Crushed Pineapple- 1 (full)

Margarine- 1 cup

Eggs- 4

Sugar- 1 cup

How to Prepare?

  • First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Take a 9 inch baking pan and keep it ready.
  • Take a bowl and add margarine cream and sugar. Beat the eggs separately and pour in the mixture. Now, add pineapple and bread cubes.
  • Blend the mixture well and pour in the baking pan.
  • Bake it for about an hour. Leave for few minutes to cool down.
  •  Your favorite pineapple stuffing is ready!

Journey of Former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam- A Tribute to the Great Human


Abdul Kalam, the Missile Man of India achieved and gained a lot of accolades in various sectors of industry. His early age started with distributing newspapers after school hours. After becoming the President of India, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna- the highest civilian honour. Dr. Abdul Kalam ensures to utilize every moment of his life with best efforts. He is a man of humanity, affection, love and care.

The former President and reputed scientist passed away on 27th July 2015 at a hospital in Meghalaya. Few of the medical records revealed that he suddenly collapsed while addressing a speech at Indian Institute of Management in Shillong. He was immediately admitted in the hospital in a critical stage.

It is the duty of every human to pay a tribute to this great man. He has been called with many names such as “The Man Behind Vision 2020, People’s President” and “Missile Man”. It is important to know that Abdul Kalam has not made remarkable achievements but also conquered millions and millions hearts with his determined character, love and patriotism.

Let us have a quick glance at some of the bits and parts of his life below:

  •  Dr. Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. As a son to a humble boat owner, Dr.Kalam was hard working, determined and started helping his family at an early age. He was brought up in a tolerant and dominant society. Kalam overcame all the odds and went to pursue his graduation in physics and aerospace engineering.
  • His first achievement for our country was as the Scientist. In 1960, Dr. Kalam joined in the Aeronautical Development Establishment of Defence Research and Development Organization to prove his talents.
  • After nine years, Late Dr. Kalam was moved to the Indian Space Research Organization. He considered this movement as his biggest achievement in life.
  • He started to work in various projects like Satellite-Launching Vehicle Project, Pokhran-II and much more.
  • As a true Indian, he had a dream called “Vision 2020”. He wanted our country to be one of the most developed countries in the world. Dr.Kalam gave many motivational lectures and speeches to schools, colleges, universities and institutions across the country.

It is our great honour to pay tribute to one of the greatest presidents of country “Dr. Abdul Kalam”. Let his dreams and vision for 2020 be achieved by the young bloods of the country!

Fete De Pondicherry- Popular Festival in Pondicherry


Pondicherry is a destination that holds a mishmash of rich culture and heritage over the past years. This tiny land not only bears rich culture but also stands for its ancient customs. It is believed that Pondicherry was under the French dominance for 300 years.

During that period, the people in the city followed various traditions, art and religious practices. These kinds of activities slowly started to attract a large number of tourists towards the ethnic city.

After achieving freedom from French dominance, the Pondicherry Government hosted the “Fete De Pondicherry” with the main aim to celebrate the liberation of the state from foreign dominance. This grand festival takes place for three days after the Indian Independence Day.
